Build for the organisation agents make possible.

Our ambition is an organisation that can move at machine speed without surrendering human authority, institutional memory, or the ability to answer for what it does.

The vision

A company that remembers why it acted—even when agents do most of the work.

Today, the connective tissue of a company lives in people: the missing context, informal authority, remembered exceptions, and judgement that turns systems into an operating organisation. Agents expose how fragile that arrangement is. Lagstyr exists to make the operating authority explicit, durable, and executable.

What we believe

High autonomy and high accountability belong together.

Access is not authority.

A credential proves a system will accept a call. It does not prove the actor may bind the company, spend the money, or make the judgement.

A trace is not a management record.

Observability can show what software did. The company also needs the mandate, evidence, decision, obligation, and accountable human context.

Human oversight must be meaningful.

Approvals matter only when the person has competence, context, authority, time, and a practical way to refuse or intervene.

Autonomy must be earned.

Measured evidence should widen authority. Drift, exceptions, failure, or changed conditions should narrow it automatically.

The company should own its operating memory.

Switching a model, accounting system, or workflow tool should not erase the reason work was done or who authorised it.

No agent should improve silently.

Learning can be continuous while changes to prompts, skills, models, policy, and governance remain explicit and accountable.

Why Lagstyr

Not another agent control plane.

Permissions, monitoring, and approvals are necessary. They are not the whole operating model. Lagstyr starts from the company and asks what must remain true when agents take on material work.

  1. 01

    Company, not session

Stable legal entities, people, agents, suppliers, contracts, and mandates outlive an individual run.

  2. 02

    Judgement, not just policy

Explicit policy routes consequence; accountable people still exercise irreducible judgement.

  3. 03

    Effect, not just intent

The record closes only when the owning system confirms what changed and obligations are captured.

  4. 04

    Outcome, not activity

More agent runs are not success. Costs, benefits, quality, risk, and capacity must be measured.

  5. 05

    Ownership, not dependency

The intended customer-controlled architecture keeps the company operating without a vendor on the authority path.

  6. 06

    Institution, not demo

The goal is a durable operating capability that can stand before owners, boards, auditors, and regulators.
